I couldn't sleep. I couldn't really say why, you would think with the amount of pressure I had been under over the past few days I wouldn't have any trouble sleeping, but here I was, awake and worrying about things. So, I made my way downstairs to get a glass of milk - or maybe some medicine as I made my way through the dark of our house, down the steps, and around the corner, a white flashing light showed from the living room. I could obviously tell that the TV had been left on. Some stupid high school romance movie… my Dad must have left it on, he had been obsessed with these lately. When I stepped past the couch though, it revealed someone, no, two people lying there, passionately making out.

“What the fuck?” Sure enough, it was my Dad. He had become a teen girl, maybe a touch younger than me just a few months ago. Of course, that was already a large enough shift in our lives, but what really bothered me about it was how quickly he took to his new life. It wasn't really appropriate to call him a “he” since she was the girliest girl I had ever known these days. An effect of the changes? Maybe. Either that or she really did just come to accept the cards she was dealt. Regardless, here she was making out with a boy. And that boy was… “Jake?” Jake is one of my friends. My friend and my Dad…

“Ah! Alex! It's uh… not what it looks like!” My “Dad” stood up and straightened his hair,  while my “friend” did pretty much the same, although he also discreetly straightened his pants. Bastard…

“Oh really? Well, it looks like my friend and my Dad are making out late at night.” My Dad was going by Jennifer these days, and going to school in the year under mine. I didn't think introducing her to anyone I knew would lead to this though, I wanted to help her adjust but she's done just fine on her own, clearly.

“Ah… it's pretty much what it looks like then. Can you blame me? A girl has needs.” She blushed and giggled. I can’t believe she used to be anything but a girl… I… didn't find their relationship appropriate, but technically in the eyes of the law, she was younger than him, if anything. I don't like it but… I can't do anything about it. I wouldn't want her to get pregnant though, so…

“Ugh. Just… go to bed soon, Kay?” The two of them then shared a look. “Not together, that's the last thing we need.” As I started to walk away she traced his mouth with her finger.

“Or… We could…”

“I'm serious!” They both jumped.

“Right! Right…”
