No "Man" Left Behind
It had been a while since half of the world's people had completely swapped sexes. The global sex swap effected people completely indiscriminately, all at once, causing absolute chaos for a while. Adam's friend group had been impacted more so than a lot of others, because what used to be a group of sports obsessed basketball players had all become women... except for Adam. He had been spared... although he was beginning to wonder if that was the best outcome. As he sat with the rest of them, talking about an upcoming college party, he felt completely left out. Talking about sports simply wasn't something that interested any of them anymore. His friends had changed... they had fully accepted stereotypical womanhood. Of course, Adam was grateful he didn't have to go through the hardships they went through, he knew it wasn't easy... but maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if he had changed with them and fit in more to this conversation.
"Your hair looks so good!" Haylee and Kelsey were talking about each others hair, for God's sake. Adam didn't couldn't fit in less.
"Thanks! My girlfriend taught me how to do it a while ago when we were still adjusting."
"Pfft, I wish my boyfriend would do my hair..." It all just went in one ear and out the other as Adam moped.
"Hey Adam, you've been awful quiet. What's wrong?" While the other girls chatted Grace took interest in her moping friend in the corner. This wasn't the first time he got down in the dumps while they hung out, it was about time she figured out what was up.
"What? Nothing! I'm just uhh, super excited for the party, yeah!" Adam didn't really want to accept or admit what had been on his mind for such a long time, but he got read like a book.
"Aww, you feel left out, don't you? Do you wish you swapped with the rest of us?"
"N-no! That's crazy! You're crazy."
"You do! Oh my god that is so cute! Would you let us get you ready for the party?" This caught the other girls attention. Make Adam all pretty like they were? It sounded like a ton of fun, and anything for their friend! If only he had said something earlier...
"What... what do you mean by that?" Adam couldn't help but wonder... did they really intend to make him...
"I mean no "man" left behind right? Sooo you wouldn't be any different than the rest of us if we all maybe dressed you up for the party. It isn't too late to fit in with us! And it would be a lot of fun!" Adam considered things for a bit, but as all of his friends excitedly waited for his answer, he couldn't say no.
"Sure, let's try it out." And so, Adam would be going with them to the party... as a girl.

"You're so cute!" The girls admired the work they had done on their friend. You would never guess Adam hadn't swapped with the rest of them.
"Yeah I am... not as cute as you all though. I'll never be like you all..." Adam sheepishly deflected, he(?) would never really be a woman like they were.
"What? No way! We were guys one day and girls the other, and we accepted it! Look at you, how's this any different?"
"You think so?" Maybe... this wasn't so bad. Maybe Adam wasn't left behind.
"I know so. Now c'mon. We have a party to crash."
