"Why does he get to be the sexy guy?" Adrian and Kyle got themselves put in witness protection after ratting out some very powerful people. The safest way the government could think of protecting them was giving them entirely new bodies and lives. Adrian, the one asking the question, said this in referral to Kyle, who ended up in nothing short of a supermodel's body. He blushed a little bit, realizing that his adjective of choice for his body was "sexy" and not something a bit more tame.
"Because somebody needs to protect you if someone threatens you right? I think that makes sense..." An officer sat across from them, confirming that they were briefed correctly on what was going on. The officer acted oblivious, as if the problem wasn't right in front of him. Adrian didn't need protection, even if the thought made him sort of jittery. Kyle protecting him...
"No! I mean, why does he get to be the guy, or hell, a guy at all?!" The problem for Adrian wasn't really that Kyle became a hot guy, rather his problem was that he became a very sexy woman, instead of a man as well. Why did he have to swap genders for this? And why didn't Kyle have to?
"Oh, well your cover story is that you're a married couple so..." Again, the officer acted as if it was all common sense. Adrian was the wife, and Kyle the husband, a criminal would never suspect they used to be two friends, right?
"No no no, like, why do we have to be a married couple? Why do I have to be his wife" Adrian argued back with another one of his issues. He didn't want to hurt Kyle's feelings, but his concerns weren't entirely misplaced... right?
"So you aren't found?" And again, got completely brushed off, as if them playing these roles was the only way to be safe.
"Oh for the love of-" Adrian, or rather "Arianna" looked as if she was going to blow a fuse before her "husband" calmed her down.
"Hey, hey, it's okay..." Arianna was... surprisingly receptive to whatever Kyle said. There was clearly something more to all of this. "It's like your... double protected! I have your back, I'm totally capable, and we have new identities! It isn't all bad... right?"
"Mmm... fine, whatever, if we have to." Arianna gave up and accepted life as a woman, for however long she had to. Kyle would never tell her, but they had a choice in their cover story, and he thought it up for her. Arianna thought Kyle didn't know, but he knew she had a crush on him for quite some time, this might have been a bit of an over extension of trust, but it would be good for them. And eventually her feminine side would come out, he knew her well enough to say so with confidence. Hell, if they stayed a couple long enough maybe Arianna would let out her motherly side as well...
