A New Daughter (Part 2) - TGAR Caption

A New Daughter (Part 2)

"Wake up girls!" Karen peeked her head into Bea's room to wake her up for school like any other day, but now somebody else was there. Lexi groggily moved the hair from her eyes while waking up. Every morning gave her a bit of whiplash, waking up in a smaller bed, across from Bea. The sleeping arrangement had changed in the past few days, now Lexi slept across from her "sister" who wasn't horribly enthusiastic about sharing a room. Karen didn't think it appropriate they sleep in the same bed, or whatever.
"Bea! Get your sister ready! I have to go!" Karen rushed out the door, not wanting to be late for work. The other large development in the past few days had been the decision to send Lexi to school. Today was her first day, starting in the grade below her sister. She was resistant to the idea, but with Lexi being officially declared Karen and, well, Liam's daughter, she was required to attend school, in some form. Karen didn't have the time for home school, so this was how things ended up.
"Ok dad- er, Lexi, this is how you brush your hair. Trust me, I love doing your hair, but I can't keep doing it every day." Karen normally helped Lexi, if at all, but today was the first day "his" own daughter helped. It was... strange, receiving instruction from her, but it was something Lexi was going to have to learn, for the time being at least. "Do you want to try on some makeup? Nothing big, and not if you don't want to."
"Well, if you want to, sure..." Lexi didn't like the feeling of products being put on her face, but it made Bea happy, and it wouldn't kill her to give off a decent impression on her first day. Not that it mattered. But she had been somewhat nervous about it in the recent days. The first day of school... it had been such a long time since she experienced this feeling, and it was definitely different for a young woman. Her body had been under a very large change very recently, compound that with it wanting to kick right in to the puberty which it didn't get to go through, and Lexi had been a mess. Of course, she could keep herself under control, but random outbursts and overwhelming emotions had been the usual over the past few days before she started. It was demeaning going to school again like this, but she couldn't help but care just a little. A small part of her even wondered what everyone there would think of her. Would she even be capable of fitting in?
"Oh my god you're so cute!" Bea admired her work. It lifted Lexi's spirit to see her happy, but also a little bit of that came from the complement. "Everyone is going to love you! C'mon let's get your uniform!" Well Lexi didn't want everyone to love her, per say, but it was nice nonetheless.
As Lexi put on her new uniform, and looked at her female body, from girly pajamas to a uniform with a skirt and knee socks, she couldn't help but wonder what they were going to do. A way back didn't seem feasible, they had nothing to go off of, and she couldn't be intimate with Karen because... that would be really weird and creepy, for both of them. Hardly anybody would believe this magical swap was a thing at all, and with each step to just move on in life things became more normal. Was this her life now? As she finished, and her daughter stepped behind her, she let a tear loose.
"Lexi?" Bea looked her face up and down in the mirror. Then looked at her uniform, crisp, clean, cute.        "You're very pretty. Now come on, we don't want to be late." Well at least she had a very kind and understanding daughter, or "sister."
