    "Hey Becca, who's this?" The boy he was with. A swole skater guy... certainly some girls types, but what was "Dad" doing with him, and Becca? Who was she?

    "Becca" wrapped her hands around his, acting more girly than Kayla ever does, almost reflexively. "Ohhh, Alex! This is uh, my sister! Yeah, this is my sister, Kayla, this is... Alex." There was a pleading in his eyes.

    "Da-Becca... let me talk to you for a second." Kayla pulled him aside. "Who is this guy? What are you doing with him? Are you on a date? Does Mom know about this? You can't-"

    "Kayla... god, I really wish it didn't happen this way. Yes... I'm uh, spending some time with him. How could I say no? He's just really... I don't know. He offered to take me out shopping after we met some weeks ago and I couldn't say no... Please, don't tell your Mom? It isn't really a big deal, is it? I swear we'll talk about this later. He's waiting on me." She looked like a love struck girl. Her Dad, the love struck girl, dreaming about a surfer boy. She really did wear her new preferences on her sleeve, huh? Kayla didn't like this, but what could she do? There was no saying when or if this swap would be reversed. They would have to talk about it later.

    "Right well... fine, for now. Have fun on your date, Dad." And like that, Becca's face was blood red, maybe she hadn't accepted what this really was.

    "Kaylaaaa It's not a dateeee." Becca said, making a swiping motion. And so Becca made her way back over to Alex

    "Ha, sure." Maybe, hopefully, things could work out.

    "Ready to go Becca?"

    "Right, well, we'll be on our way, see ya sis!" And so, she hopped on his motorcycle with him and wrapped her arms around him. There was no lack of surprises today.
