Put In Her Place (Part 9)
"I can't believe my little girl is getting married!" My dad's excited. Currently, It's just the two of us, and I'm preparing for my big day... Keith proposed. We've been dating a few years, we've been practically inseparable, we've graduated, and started college. It's a lot to have on our plates but... we were bound to get married eventually, I think.
"Yeah, again." It was, technically, my second marriage. But that life... it was long behind me. Its been a few years, and I can't even imagine being a man again...
"Yeah... me and your Mom should renew our vows... so I can experience that." I guess Dad never did get to properly marry Mom, huh? That was... "Me"
"You should!" It would be really cute, seeing the two of them reignite their love. They've been going strong as ever since the swap.
"Someday the two of us were going to walk down the aisle. But I wouldn't have thought I would be the one walking you down there." It's true... in another world, I'm walking Alexa down the aisle, her getting married to some guy... but now "she's" walking me down, and I'm marrying a guy... the love of my life.
"Neither would I! But here we are, and I couldn't be happier."This happiness, being a woman... it's been a blessing in disguise, I think Dad would say the same, although I can't imagine why he thinks so.
"Neither could I."
"Well, it's about time, you ready honey?" It was time... it all feels like a dream, even now.
"As I'll ever be. I've spent so much time preparing this... hopefully all goes well, huh?" The past months had been a mess. Every second of my life had been dedicated to making sure that this went perfectly. In my old life I couldn't imagine caring so much about every detail of our marriage and what came after, but here I was, putting together the perfect reception.
"I'm sure it will, everything has gone surprisingly well for us thus far, no?" Shockingly so, actually. Not sure how I so easily slotted into the life of a young woman.
"Hehe~ yeah." And so, my married life began, for the second time around.
It was time to show Mom and Dad and ready to tackle the world. As a woman.
