Star Crossed - TG Caption

Star Crossed - TG Caption

Mark and Alice were the type of couple that you couldn't possibly imagine what they would have been like had they not found each other. The fact that they weren't already married by the time they had been together half a year was dumbfounding to most of the people around them. If they didn't end up with each other, then how could they possibly end up with anyone else? Well, the great shift was certainly one way to mix things up a little bit. The two closest people that anyone who knew them could think of had been split up. Into completely different bodies, and for all they knew, they were on completely different sides of the world. With everything going on in their new lives, as well as chaos all around the world, not even the most dedicated people could go about finding the people that they used to know, or even know if said person was telling the truth.

Mark ended up in a woman's body, much to his initial embarrassment. It wasn't so much that he didn't want to be a woman, but he found the whole experience to be very… difficult to cope with. He found that more often than not, if he was going to be a woman, he needed to be a little more outgoing than he was generally used to. Without Alice to rely on, Mark eventually found stability within himself, realizing some things about herself, and only herself, and coming out as Melissa. Melissa was a far cry from the gentle giant most would have described Mark as, she was more of a quirky party girl, with a bit of an introverted streak, and, admittedly, a pretty strong newfound interest in men. At her core she was the same person, but she had grown, all it took was a massive worldwide disaster to make it happen. She would always hold her old memories dear, but she knew that a new, exciting road was ahead of her, whether she liked it or not.

Alice found herself displaced pretty heavily as well. Becoming a man was no small change for a young woman to deal with. Taller, bulkier, and rougher, Alice felt like a bumbling idiot at times. Although being a guy had its benefits, she often found that she missed the admiration and appreciation that Mark offered her when they were together. Once confident in herself, Alice found herself back at stage one. Alice didn't need time to reassure herself of her worth like Mark had… she needed someone to make being her, whoever she was, worth doing. That was until she met up with one of her old friends. Becca had been unshifted… an uncommon occurrence in the chaos. She was able to offer Alice comfort and they found themselves in a relationship. After a short fling, Alice found that she enjoyed being Alex a lot more than he could have imagined once he had a woman to pleasure… and be pleasured by. As helpful as their time together was for him though, Becca was no Mark… but what were the odds that he would ever find a woman like him?

Melissa found herself fiddling with her hair as she waited for her date to show up. They agreed to take it easy and go on a simple coffee date… which was a relief for her unprepared heart. She hadn’t had a long term relationship since she shifted… but this guy she found seemed nice enough. They had a few things in common from what little texting they had done… she was excited, maybe there was something there! And that excitement only grew once she saw him. “Hey, I’m over here!” The man made his way over and sat across from her. It was Alex.

“It’s nice to finally meet you in person…” Alex looked his date up and down. She was cute… she made him feel a way he hadn’t ever felt before. “Well, let’s get started I guess. I’m Alex, as you already know. I have a good feeling about this.” Melissa brushed her hair back and blushed. He was cute, and he thought the same, they were off to a good start.

“And I’m Melissa… and yeah, me too!” The two felt a connection begin to form throughout the day that they hadn’t felt in what seemed like ages. Mark and Alice might never know it, but they were meant to be, and they were better than ever.
